Coffee Nace S.A Micromill, run by the Navarro Ceciliano family in Costa Rica's Tarrazú, brings over a century of coffee expertise. They grow Caturra and Catuai coffee at their farm, Finca San Cristobal Norte, and process it naturally at their micromill. After cherry sorting, the beans air dry for about 15 days.
The Tarrazú region, located in the southern Pacific area of Costa Rica near San Jose, boasts high-altitude farms, some reaching above 2000 meters, earning it the nickname "Zona de Los Santos." Its climate features distinct rainy and dry seasons, fostering consistent coffee blossoming, with an average annual rainfall of 2400 millimeters and a temperature of 19°C. The fertile volcanic soil and rolling terrain support a variety of agriculture, including coffee, bananas, avocado, and citrus, often managed by generations of smallholders. In Tarrazú, a strong sense of community and family ties prevails, with producers nurturing their land and safeguarding natural water sources amid coffee fields and primary forests.
