This fully washed lot comes from Gulmarg Estate in Kiambu County, just north of Nairobi. Sitting at 1,950 metres above sea level, Gulmarg is a high-elevation farm known for producing the kind of vibrant, structured Kenyan coffee we love, think sparkling acidity, juicy sweetness, and deep complexity in the cup.

Originally established by British colonists, Gulmarg is now one of six estates owned and operated by Sasini, a publicly listed company with majority Kenyan ownership. Sasini doesn’t just focus on great coffee — they’re equally committed to their people and community. Estate workers are supported with proper housing, early education for their children, union representation, and pay above the minimum wage.

Together with Olam Specialty and over 30 coffee partners worldwide, Sasini has also invested in Njenga Karume Primary School, funding a brand new computer lab to help equip local students with digital skills for the future.
